Neighbourhood guide
Write a notice people can act on
The details that make an event, service or local offer useful.
Start with the thing you are offering
A notice should answer a simple question before it asks anyone to click: what is happening? Use a short title such as “Beginner pottery class on Saturday” rather than “An opportunity you cannot miss”. A useful title names the activity, not a promise about how wonderful it will be.
Put the organiser name, area and city in the fields provided. A neighbourhood name on its own can be ambiguous. If the activity is at a public venue, name that venue in the description. Do not publish a private home address or another person’s contact details.
Make time and price easy to find
For an event, give the calendar date, start and finish time, local time zone, and any age restrictions. Say whether registration is needed. For an offer, state the total price where possible, what it includes, the days it is available and any important limits. “While stock lasts” is useful only when people also understand what is being offered.
Choose an expiry that matches the activity. A one-day event should not keep appearing for a month after it ends. You can withdraw your notice from the local desk when plans change. Editing is not currently supported; withdraw a mistaken notice and submit a corrected one for a fresh safety check.
Use an image to explain, not conceal
A poster can help people recognise an activity, but essential details should also appear as text. Small print may be unreadable on a phone. Use a clear image you own or have permission to publish, and leave passwords, identity documents, payment details and private messages out of it.
Paper Shapers resizes and re-encodes uploads, then submits the text and image to its configured AI review service. A clearly safe notice may be published automatically. Uncertain results stay private for further review. Automated approval does not verify a business or guarantee an offer.
Keep one notice about one activity
Combining several unrelated offers makes a notice difficult to check and search. Give each activity its own clear description. Do not repeatedly submit the same content to get around the daily limit. If a decision seems wrong, contact the support address with the notice ID rather than trying to disguise the same submission.
