Dummy article · fictional example
Example: describing a store offer without small-print surprises
A dummy promotion showing how price, eligibility and expiry can be made clear.
Describe the offer in ordinary words
This article is a fictional promotion. There is no store, sale, price or product inventory behind it. It shows how a real local shop could explain a limited offer without suggesting that an example is available to buy.
A useful offer notice names the product or service, states what changes during the promotion and explains whether the offer applies to everyone. Avoid “best price” or “guaranteed savings” unless the claim can be substantiated. A discount is not useful if the customer cannot understand the final charge.
Put conditions beside the benefit
For a real promotion, the shop would explain the valid dates, any minimum spend, exclusions and quantity limits. If the offer applies only in a particular branch, include the branch area and city. If stock may run out, say so without inventing a scarcity claim.
The core terms should appear as text, even if a promotional image is attached. Images are resized for mobile browsing. Conditions that are visible only in tiny image text are hard to read and may be missed by automated review.
Give people a way to check
Paper Shapers checks submissions for content risks but does not verify a shop’s inventory, product quality or ability to honour an offer. A visitor should confirm the terms through an existing trusted channel before making a purchase. The marketplace does not process payment.
A real shop should withdraw a notice when its offer ends or changes. If a visitor reports a misleading promotion, the report should describe the discrepancy. Reports do not automatically remove content, because that could allow malicious complaints to suppress legitimate notices.
