Neighbourhood guide
A calmer way to browse local offers
Check the details, protect private information, and report things that do not add up.
Treat a notice as a starting point
A public listing tells you what someone wants to advertise. It is not proof that the person owns a business, has the relevant permission, or will honour a promise. Read the organiser name, area, dates and conditions together. If those details contradict one another, pause before making plans.
Automated safety review can miss misleading language and can also make mistakes about harmless content. Paper Shapers provides a report link on each published notice. Give a specific reason, such as an incorrect date or a payment demand, so the report can be reviewed.
Keep financial and identity details out of the board
Paper Shapers does not run marketplace checkout, hold deposits or provide buyer protection. Do not send a password, one-time code, payment PIN or identity document because a notice asks for it. Never assume a logo on a poster proves that the organisation behind it is genuine.
For an in-person activity, check the public venue and arrangements with the organiser through a channel you already trust. This board does not provide private chat or route navigation. Nearby distances are approximate straight-line distances between neighbourhood cells, not walking or driving directions.
Choose how much location to share
You can browse by entering an area and city. The approximate-location button is optional and asks the browser for permission only when you choose it. Coordinates are rounded before the search request and used to select a neighbourhood. They are not saved as a location history.
A venue without coordinates can still appear in an area search. It will not appear in a distance search because the board cannot reliably place it. Try an area search if a nearby activity you know about seems to be missing.
Know what is an example
Some neighbourhood guides are labelled dummy articles so you can see how a finished page will read. They do not advertise real events, prices, venues or organisations. Example pages are excluded from search indexing and the sitemap. Published marketplace notices come from submissions and use a separate approval process.
